  Technology: Seating,
  Environment and Mobility

This service is for those with postural or motor impairments requiring the use of a wheelchair, walker, adjusted seat, prosthesis, walking board, or other adaptive aid:
  • Made-to-measure adaptive aids based on individual needs
  • installation and education
  • Repair and support service

Clientele

  • 0-21 years old
  • Registered or not at the Mackay Rehabilitation Centre
  • Clients presenting postural or motor disabilities requiring the use of wheelchair, walker, adjusted seat, standing frame or other adaptive aid

Services offered

  • Evaluation, technical and clinical follow-up
  • Evaluation based on individual needs for wheelchair, adjusted seat, cushion, accessories and adaptive aids
  • Conception and design, made-to-measure adaptive aids
  • Repair and support services
  • Sale and distribution of adaptive aids and accessories (cane, walker, standing frame...)

Required documents

  • Registration form
  • Medical prescription (neurologist, physiatrist, orthopedist, rheumatologist, neurosurgeon) documenting the diagnosis and the technical aid requested
